As you will need to start with the flooring in a wet room, setting your base to the shower is very important, allowing for all water to be contained and directed to the trap or outlet. If the floor is above ground floor level the installation will require a disconnecting liner (short video) to prevent the floor 'cracking' or the floor moving in any way. This will also form part of the waterproofing process. As you move further along the process, 'bathroom tanking' will need to be applied, again to prevent any ingress of water behind your bathroom tiles. Wet room shower trays particularly without an enclosure need to be layered in such a way as to direct ANY water towards a suitable outlet. These videos show a typical installation processes.
