Shower Tiling "has to be right" here's how

Any shower tiling has to be well planned using the correct adhesive and grout creating a waterproof shower, that in some cases will need a tanking system in place.

The tiles that you use, can cover most wall tiles available from ceramic, porcelain and mosaics to the more elaborate natural stone such as travertine, marble and slate.

If you're using natural stone in your shower enclosure, make sure that it is correctly sealed.

One alternative you might want to consider is shower panels which are a smaller percentage of the installations I carry out however, these are gaining in popularity.

Some enclosures will require level access and have glass shower panels as an alternative to tiling on fixed walls. Don't be put off by moving away from traditional tiling styles, as bathrooms now vary greatly in design and practicality.

The floors will suit many types of tiles used and underfloor heating and shower tiling go well together.
