Victorian tiles
My name is Terry Lyons, Mike's younger brother. Just like Mike's son Alex, I have my own contracts but work alongside Mike quite often on many of his larger Ceramic tiling and Mosaic projects.
I have improved my knowledge greatly by working with Mike on some of his more challenging projects. These projects are usually specialist area's where non-specialist Ceramic tilers have either "passed on", or attempted, then failed miserably in their execution. The most recent example of this is where a Ceramic tiler/builder attempted to lay Victorian mosaics in an entrance hallway. The result looked more like a BMX track than a Victorian mosaic hallway. The customer took up the mosaics and managed to save every piece.....they then called Mike.
Originally these mosaics come on a 9" square sheet of about 80 mosaic pieces on each sheet. Unfortunately these mosaics had to be re-laid one by one....just over a thousand in all....
Other projects included a complicated mosaic lined indoor swimming pool...
