Tiling

Wall and floor tiling is now one of the most popular finishes in the home which I'm able to complete normally in 1-2 days depending on the type of installation.

My installations for wall and floor ceramics very often includes porcelain, one of the most hard wearing types of tile available which are available from all good retailers, something which I can also supply with my home selection service should you require.

Porcelain is excellent for underfloor heating installations and flooring completed with this product produces a beautiful finish in bathrooms, kitchens and conservatories.

Your choice of wall and floor tiles should always be accompanied by the correct adhesive and grout, if the wrong choice is made then an installation that costs hundreds or maybe thousands could well have to be started over from the beginning.

One of those important areas is tiling onto wooden floors where the need for stability is at its most demanding. Take a look at this short video and see how easily it can be achieved.

Another area where the installation must be 'spot on' is when fitting stone and slate where corrections can be quite costly. Also when you have to grout floor work, you'll need to be aware of cleaning surfaces thoroughly as this determines 'the final look'.

Floor replacement doesn't come cheaply.

Showers are one example for the need to "get it right" first time, particularly when fixing to any areas above ground floor level.
Tanking systems are a must before installing to showers above ground level, followed by the recommended water resistant or waterproof adhesive and grout.

All installations must be carefully planned with the quantities and types of adhesive and grout calculated AND 'setting out' has to be absolutely spot on before starting any job.
